Elizabeth and Jacob - 3 Months

Running a little behind on blog posts, but never fear! I'll catch up eventually!

Beth and Jake are three months and are so much more fun now. :-) They "talk" to you, smile big grins (especially when they first wake-up and see you for the first time), love to kick while chilling on the floor, and turn their heads to follow me around the room. The biggest change this past month has been with Jake. We put him on reflux medication (the pediatrician thinks he has silent reflux - all the heart burn but non of the spit-up) and it's like I have my baby back from before all the medical procedures. He still is the more fussy of the two, but now it's periods of fussiness (like when he's tired and wants to take a nap) rather than all the time fussiness. I was simply shocked when I put him in the swing one day, walked away, and came back to him sleeping. This had not happened since right when we brought him home from the hospital. Very, very excited that the meds are working for him!

One Month Old

Two Months Old - They're faces have filled out and they're chunkier now. They're hair has taken on a life of it's own (Beth's still looks like she was electrocuted!). And they actually interact with us now!

Three Months Old - Showing off their synchronized kicking skills. And I just noticed I've switched their floor positions each month. :-) I'll have to try to keep them on the same side for easier spotting of growth differences. LOL.

Time for T-Ball!

We did something crazy this year and signed Abby up for t-ball. In previous years we'd watch as her friends were signed up for t-ball, soccer, etc but the Saturday games always kept us from putting her name in the hat. We just don't have free Saturdays like so many other people. But this year a friend mentioned that YMCA has week-night games as well and, after asking Abby her opinion on the matter, signed her up. It's been a hoot watching her learn the game and how it's played. Watching eight 5 year olds running around the field, catching or throwing balls, and going from hitting off the tee to hitting off of coach pitch has brought much laughter. At her first game, we realized just how much she didn't know about the game and would need to learn. :-)

Hitting off the tee and eventually running to first base.

Running to second with a minor pit stop.

Heading toward er, third and home! Making sure to hold tight to her helmet.

Fielding a ball.

I'm not sure we have a future Olympic Softball player on our hands, but she's having fun and that's all that matters. :-)

Three Months - A Professional Point of View

I had professional three month photos taken of Beth and Jake and I love, love, love them! As much as I love taking pictures for scrapbooking I am definitely an amateur in the photography department, so having the occasional professional shot is very much welcome. All three kids (because I wanted Abby in at least a few with her siblings) did a great job. Heather, our photographer, also did a fantastic job working between fussy periods and a nursing session. :-)

Abby with Jake. I knew I wanted a snapshot or two of all three kids together, but it warmed my Mama's heart when Abby frankly demanded to take a picture Right Now with her brother while I was still getting Beth changed.

So then we needed to get a shot of just Abby and Beth.

Before finally getting a shot of all three of my kiddos.

This may look easy, but getting both of them to look in the direction of the camera at the same time with a halfway decent look upon their face is hard. LOL.

My most favorite picture of Beth.

My handsome son and beautiful daughter.

My favorite picture of Jake!

And another unplanned, yet fantastic, shot of my three babies. At the end of the shoot Abby wanted another picture with her siblings (she'd been playing in her room during most of the session) but was upset that she didn't have a fun tutu that matched Beth's. Heather came up with the perfect solution of a shawl wrap and Abby felt as pretty as a peach. I'm pretty sure this one is going on my wall. :-)
I gotta admit these professional shots are way more awesome than Abby's Walmart and JC Penny specials. LOL. You definitely get what you pay for!
